Founded in 2006, the EPL Talk Podcast is the number one Premier League podcast on the Internet. During each episode, we bring you intelligent debate about the world’s most popular sports league, featuring deep analysis that you won’t find with other podcasts. And each episode is available to you for free.

EPL Talk Podcast host Richard Farley along with co-hosts Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna bring you two shows a week:

1. Every Sunday night at 2pm PT/5pm ET/10pm GMT, the EPL Talk Podcast is broadcast live on the EPL Talk homepage. A Game of Two Halves: Chris Knowles and Mark Hesketh are the hosts of what is currently the longest running soccer podcast still available (founded in 2005). The two Australian residents discuss why they started their podcast, what the Premiership TV coverage is like down under as well as discussing a variety of other topics including how the Americans are doing in the Premier League and what the future of podcasting will be like.

Arsenal America and Emirates Stadium: In 2006, The Gaffer of EPL Talk embarked on a tour of English football stadiums where he captured what it was like to visits the cathedrals of the sport. In this episode, he takes you through what it was like to visit the Emirates Stadium for a Champions League match as well as his adventures meeting up with Arsenal America, a U.S. Gunners supporter’s group, at a pub down the road from Highbury.

Arsenal Stadium and The Beautiful Game: In 2006, The Gaffer of EPL Talk embarked on a tour of English football stadiums where he captured what it was like to visits the cathedrals of the sport. In this episode, he discusses what it was like visiting Highbury for the first time and how surprised he was. The episode also features an interview with Chris Slegg, co-host of the former Beautiful Game Podcast. Slegg shares his analysis regarding why Spurs are having such a difficult season and describes what the experience is like at White Hart Lane.

Guillem Balague: Episode 97 features an interview with Guillem Balague, one of the top football pundits in the world today who is best known for his work on Sky Sports, The Game Podcast and in The Times. During the interview, Balagued discusses how he became a journalist, his favorite interviewee, how Spanish football journalism compares to the English variety, his thoughts on Fabio Capello for the next England manager position and much more.

Phil Ball: In episode 32 of the EPL Talk Podcast, we feature interviews with ESPN Soccernet columnist and famed author Phil Ball. Ball shares his expertise on La Liga by discussing how different the game is in Spain versus England, his opinion regarding the David Beckham transfer saga and how popular the Spanish league is around the world, especially the USA. The podcast also features an interview with BBC Sport’s Howard Nurse who discusses what his role is like running the football section for BBC Sport.

Steve Banyard: Episode 47 of the EPL Talk Podcast features an interview with Steve Banyard, one of the top football commentators in the Premiership. Banyard discusses his most memorable match he’s ever commentated, what a week is like preparing for an EPL match, his viewpoints on whether video technology should be used in matches, and his input on how commentating his changed over the years. Patrick Barclay: Episode 46 features an interview with Patrick Barclay, one of the top football journalists in England and the football correspondent for The Sunday Telegraph newspaper. Warren Barton: Warren Barton, the former Newcastle and Wimbledon defender, discusses his work as analyst for Fox Soccer Match Day. Barton chats about his memories of his role in the greatest Premiership match ever, the early days at Wimbledon alongside Vinnie Jones, his infamous England debut where thugs forced the match against Ireland at Lansdowne Road to be abandoned after less than 30 minutes, and more.

Graham Bell: Graham Bell from The 2 G’s soccer radio show is this week’s guest. During episode 9, Graham discusses the launch of the 2 G’s radio network scheduled for June 9th, exclusive news regarding a new home for The Treble radio show, why The 2 G’s split from the World Soccer Daily radio network, and the story of how Graham got into football and met his co-host Gary Richards.

Richard Beresh: In episode 4 of the EPL Talk Podcast, we have a unique interview with Richard Beresh, one of the main producers and maestros behind the new soccer video game “2006 FIFA World Cup” from Electronic Arts. As well as being an avid soccer fan, Beresh now lives in Canada and discusses many interesting topics such as how video games have influenced soccer on TV, how working on video games has changed the way he watches matches on television, some of the amazing new features in the newest video game title, and more. Best of Episode: Episode 100 of the EPL Talk Podcast is a ‘Best Of’ episode featuring clips from some of the most entertaining interviews conducted between 2006 and 2008. Profiled guests include Steven Cohen from World Soccer Daily, England World Cup legend Alan Mullery, former Sky Sports presenter Rodney Marsh, football grounds expert Simon Inglis, Soccer Made In Germany legend Toby Charles and many many more. Ian Bishop: Episode 58 features an interview with Ian Bishop, the former Manchester City, West Ham United and Miami Fusion midfielder. During the candid interview, Bishop reveals which British heavy metal band he’s best friends with, which midfielders today are reminiscent of his playing ability, the controversy about why he was only selected for the England B-side once, and his thoughts on his former clubs West Ham United and Manchester City and their relegation battles. Dougie Brimson: Episode 80 features an interview with Dougie Brimson, author of non-fiction and fiction books about hooliganism and the screenwriter responsible for the movie Green Street Hooligans starring Elijah Wood. During this candid interview, Brimson discusses what motivates soccer hooligans to cause trouble, whether the United States has anything to worry about in the future regarding soccer hooligans, and the most passionate soccer fans he has ever witnessed plus much more.

Peter Brown: Episode 3 of the EPL Talk Show, a live Internet radio program, features an interview with Peter Brown. We discuss the results from the Champions League matches and look ahead to the Premier League weekend as well as discussing other topics such as the size of pitches in the Prem compared to La Liga and the most common type of music that Premier League players put on to get them psyched for matches.

Tom Cannon: Episode 84 features an interview with Tom Cannon, a professor at the University of Buckingham Business School who is one of the leading experts on the topic of money and the Premier League. During this eye-opening interview, Cannon shares his thoughts about foreign ownership, the impending doom that could fall on English clubs, whether Premier League clubs are undervalued or overvalued and much more including answering your questions.

Alexander Caufield: Alexander Caufield, a Merseyside native and lifetime Liverpool supporter joins us on the show to preview the Premier League Season. Alex writes for Seattle based website Prost Amerika.

Jon Champion: Legendary British Football Presenter Jon Champion joins host Kartik Krishnaiyer on the EPL Talk Podcast. Champion currently works for Setanta Sports, ITV and TWI International. Hear Champion’s thoughts on this Saturday’s FA Cup Final, his coverage of the Premier League and his five previous World Cups. Champion also discusses Spain’s chances to win the World Cup in South Africa, the loss of two Premiership clubs from the Northeast and his fond memories of working for BBC Radio and hosting Match of the Day.

Toby Charles: After searching for two years to locate him, EPL Talk has found Toby Charles and has interviewed the football commentating legend about the impact he’s had on viewers in North America, his memories of German soccer, his thoughts about Martin Tyler, who his famous cousins were, his favorite Bundesliga team and much much more.

Steven Cohen: In the inaugural episode, EPL Talk interviews Steven Cohen, the co-host of Fox Football Friday and World Soccer Daily. Steven discusses how he met co-host Nick Geber, his thoughts on who has done the most to harm the game of soccer in America, and more. Plus, Steven confides what famous rock-n-roll star was in his exercise class, and what celebrity lives across the street from him.

Keith Costigan: Episode 96 features an interview with Fox Soccer Channel presenter Keith Costigan. Paul Crowder: Episode 16 of the EPL Talk Podcast features an interview with Paul Crowder, co-director of “Once In A Lifetime: The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos” documentary. Crowder discusses the parallels between the Cosmos of the 1970s and the Chelsea of today, his favorite football memories, some of the most remarkable Cosmos stories, what it’s like watching the Premiership and World Cup on TV in the United States, and much more.

Chuck Culpepper: Episode 83 features an exclusive interview with Chuck Culpepper, author of a new book entitled “Up Pompey.” The two-times nominated Pulitzer Prize journalist shares his fascination with the Premier League and concepts such as relegation, passionate fans, the experience of traveling to away matches and much more.

Simon Davis: EPL Talk interviews Simon Davis, an expert analyst from MP Red, a fantastic podcast from LFCNY – a Liverpool supporters club from New York. Davis discusses several topics including the greatest Liverpool team ever, his memories from Heysel and Hillsborough, the current rotation system at the Reds and much more.

JP Dellacamera: JP Dellacamera is the featured guest in episode 67 of the EPL Talk Podcast. The legendary U.S. soccer commentator shares his insight into his most memorable career moments including the Shot Heard Round the World as well as the 1999 Champions League final with Manchester United coming from behind to snatch a late victory against Bayern Munich. Dellacamera also discusses what he’s been doing recently, his style of commentating, how soccer in the U.S. has made progress, and how he got started in sports broadcasting.

Jay DeMerit: Episode 55 features an interview with Watford’s American defender, Jay DeMerit. A rising star, DeMerit discusses what the mood is like in the Watford squad right now, whether he feels his chances of making the U.S. national team have been hampered by playing in England, what career he almost got into if it wasn’t for football, the most impressive ground he’s played at in the Premiership, and much more. Also in this episode, we hear from London EPL Talk Correspondent Kevin Jones who discusses what football can learn from rugby both on and off the pitch, and much more.

Paul Dempsey: In episode 51, we feature an interview with Paul Dempsey, the lead presenter from Setanta Sports plus an interview with Konami about the Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 video game. In the interview with Dempsey, the Irishman discusses the comparisons between boxing and soccer, how big the Premiership is in Ireland, what it was like working at Sky Sports from 1989 to 2006, insight into how Setanta will be covering Premiership matches different than Sky, and some of the interesting events that happened behind-the-scenes at the PFA Awards, which Dempsey has hosted for nearly the past decade.

John Devlin: Episode 73 features an interview with John Devlin, author of a two volume book entitled True Colours that delves into the fascinating topic of football kits. His books required exhaustive research to compile all of the modern kits for your favorite Premier League teams. During the interview, Devlin answers questions such as his favorite and least favorite designs of soccer jerseys, his opinion of Arsenal’s new white away shirt, which kit manufacturer he’s most impressed with in terms of quality, why there were so many awful shirt designs in the early 90s, how much power kit manufacturers have over players and clubs, and what is it about football shirts that fascinates us so much.

Episode 79: Episode 79 features the return of The Gaffer and the EPL Talk Podcast. In this episode, we discuss whether Premier League clubs will be able to crack the top four, our analysis of this past weekend’s matches including the Rob Styles fiasco between Chelsea and Liverpool, and the welcome resurgence of Manchester City courtesy of the Eriksson revolution.

Simon Evans: Simon Evans, sports correspondent for Reuters International joins us to discuss Serie A’s place in the current European football landscape, Burnley FC’s promotion and other issues related to the Premier League. Following Simon, we speak with our newest correspondent Laurence McKenna who spends some time previewing the Championship and looking at the English transfer market.

Tony Evans: Episode 89 features an interview with Tony Evans, deputy football editor of The Times newspaper and a familiar voice to those who listened to The Game Podcast last year. Evan discusses many topics including his personal memories of the Hillsborough tragedy, as well as why Danny Kelly left The Game Podcast over the summer, his thoughts on the “Ahead Of The Game” newsletter and blog from The Times and much more including his opinions about Liverpool FC.

Ewood Park and Anfield: Episode 36 of the EPL Talk Podcast captures the atmosphere and excitement from Ewood Park’s clash between Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur. In a very controversial match, you can hear what the fans thought of the match incidents. Plus, you can hear an interview with two die-hard Blackburn fans. And we tell you about The Gaffer’s visit to Anfield.

Football Pub: On Episode 126 host Kartik Krishnaiyer is joined in a look at the Football Pub show by Brian Hough. Hough also gives his take on all 20 EPL teams coming into the new season. Then we catch up with Misha Sher to discuss the ESPN rights deal in the US, and all things transfer market from Liverpool to Man City to of course, Real Madrid.

Football Supporters’ Federation: Episode 59 features an interview with Steven Powell, the head of development at the Football Supporters’ Federation from England, the organization that is campaigning to introduce safe standing into Premiership stadiums, and to reduce away ticket prices. Powell also discusses several other timely topics such as the empty seats at Premier League grounds, whether he’s concerned about one of Arsenal’s major shareholders selling his stock, his reaction to Spurs raising their ticket prices. Plus, he answers questions from you, the audience.

Fox Soccer Channel, GolTV and Setanta Sports: Rodrigo Lombello the CEO of GOL TV, Shane O’Rourke the President of Setanta North America and Dermot McQuarrie the VP of Programing and Production for FSC join us to discuss football coverage plans for the new season.

Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta Sports: Episode 78 features interviews with Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta Sports regarding the upcoming 07/08 Premier League season and specifically what EPL coverage we can expect to see and hear on TV, broadband and cellular phones in North America. The first interview is with Fox Soccer Channel’s Dermot McQuarrie where we discuss Fox Soccer Match Day, Super Sunday + and much more. The second interview is with Ed Derse from Fox Soccer Channel where we dive into what EPL matches and highlights we’ll be able to experience online via broadband. And the final interview is with Setanta’s Shane O’Rourke regarding the launch of their programming in Canada and what it means for our soccer friends north of the border. (August 6, 2007)

Fulham v Reading: Episode 41 of the EPL Talk Podcast features the sounds and atmosphere from the Fulham v Reading match from November 25, 2006. In addition to hearing the sounds of the fans singing, The Gaffer interviews a Fulham fan who has been going to Craven Cottage since 1973. Plus The Gaffer plays audio from hooligans in London and recounts his experiences seeing them and discusses what happened next. EPL Talk also previews tomorrow’s Man United against Chelsea match, where EPL Talk will be reporting from. (November 25, 2006)

Caroline Gall: Episode 93 features an interview with Caroline Gall, author of a new book about Leeds United hooligans entitled “Service Crew.” During the interview, Gall talks about the bedlam that Leeds fans caused around England especially in the 70s and 80s and also discusses her previous book about the Birmingham City hooligans known as the Zulus. (November 16, 2007)

Paul Gardner and Martin Rogers: Episode 101 features interviews with two prolific soccer writers. The first interview is with Paul Gardner, the most veteran soccer writer in the US, who is best known for his writings in Soccer America. The second interview is with Martin Rogers, the former Daily Mirror journalist who now writes for Yahoo Sports in the US.

Nick Geber: Episode 13 features an interview with Nick Geber, the co-host of Fox Football Friday and World Soccer Daily. During the interview, Nick talks about Allen Hopkins, what type of impact the US getting knocked out the World Cup will have on soccer in America, his views regarding Dave O’Brien and other World Cup commentators, his most memorable moments on World Soccer Daily, how he met Steven Cohen and much more.

Tom Glick: Episode 123 of the EPL Talk Podcast features an interview with Tom Glick, the president of Derby County FC. Host Kartik Krishnaiyer has a free flowing discussion with Glick, including conversation about why Glick choose to purchase Derby County, what the Rams marketing stratgey is, what derby day versus Nottingham Forrest is like, as well as other general English football conversation. We also get a sense of Glick’s background in American sports, and discuss the victory by the Derby County Wolves in US Soccer’s recently completed Development Academy Finals.

Goodison Park and Johan Smith: Episode 35 features the sounds and atmosphere of The Gaffer’s visit to Everton’s Goodison Park in Liverpool. Whether you’re a Toffees fan or not, you’ll want to listen to this fascinating audio documentary. Plus, EPL Talk features an interview with Bolton’s American wunderkid, Johann Smith. Learn why he chose Bolton over MLS, and many other interesting revelations.

Marcus Hahnemann and Russ Schouweiler: Episode 44 of the EPL Talk Podcast features interviews with Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann and Minnesota Sports Radio Producer Russ Schouweiler. Hahnemann discusses many topics include Alan Pardew’s departure from West Ham United, how Eddie Johnson settled in at Reading, Hahnemann’s high points and low points of the season thus far, his favorite ground in the Premiership and more. Schouweiler, meanwhile, talks about his passion for Manchester United, what their Carrington Training Centre is like, which players Ferguson should buy in the transfer window and how it feels being a soccer supporter in Minnesota.

David Hall: In episode 104, author David Hall is interviewed about his new book, “Manchester’s Finest: How the Munich Air Disaster Broke the Heart of a Great City.” Hall describes how much of an impact the tragic disaster had on Manchester. Brian Halliday: Episode 43 of the EPL Talk Podcast features an interview with Brian Halliday, one of the co-hosts of the Inside Soccer radio show. Halliday, who grew up in Belfast, speaks eloquently about his start in Northern Ireland as a football player, then coach and also as a football scout. Halliday also discusses some of the interesting guests he’s had on his Inside Soccer show. Plus, The Gaffer offers listeners a chance to win a matchday programme from Man United against Chelsea, and much more.

Duncan Hamilton: Episode 70 features an interview with Duncan Hamilton, author of the new book entitled “Provided You Don’t Kiss Me: 20 Years With Brian Clough.” During the interview, Hamilton discusses what Clough was really like, his memories of his first meeting with Cloughie, what Clough’s secret to his success was, which person stood in his way to prevent him from becoming England manager and much more.

Peter Hargitay: In episode 71, Peter Hargitay (special adviser to FIFA President Sepp Blatter) responds to the allegations made against him and FIFA from the recent interview with Andrew Jennings. Plus, Hargitay answers questions on many FIFA-related topics such as Jack Warner, FIFA’s new headquarters, why FIFA’s offices were raided by Swiss fraud police in 2005 and whether he agreed with Sepp Blatter’s comment that women should wear tighter shorts. Besides the interview, we also discuss the latest headlines from the English Premier League including Alexi Lalas’s criticism. (June 19, 2007)

Harry Harris: On Episode 112 of the EPL Talk Podcast, Johnathan Starling interviews Harry Harris. Harry Harris is author of the book ‘Down Memory Lane’. In this episode, Harris answers questions with regards to how this book is different from other Tottenham books. We then shift to his career in the red tops and how he got into journalism. The conversation then shifts to how journalism has changed since he began. What percentage of the tabloid press does he believe to be made up? He answers that and more on this episode of the EPL Talk Podcast.

Hillsborough Justice Campaign: Episode 91 features an interview with John McCormick from the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, who – along with his colleagues – are fighting for justice for the 96 people who tragically died in April 1989 in one of the darkest days of English football. McCormick dissects what happened that day, talks about the lies that have been told, how the BBC and The Sun have been exposed as profiting from the tragedy, and the latest news about whether the people who were made mistakes that day will ever be brought to trial. Allen Hopkins: Episode 6 features an interview with Allen Hopkins, the Associate Producer for GOAL: The Movie, and former commentator for Fox Soccer Channel. He’s also part of this summer’s World Cup coverage team on ESPN and ABC in the US. During the interview, discover what his opinion is regarding the controversial selection of Dave O’Brien as one of the main World Cup announcers. Ian Hough: Episode 90 features an interview with Ian Hough, author of the book Perry Boys. Listen to an insiders look at how fashion and violence on the terraces flourished during the early 80s, how the Perry Boys replaced the bootboys, the differences and similarities between Manchester and Liverpool, and what’s missing from today’s game that attracts so many people to the 70s and 80s of English football.

Andy Houlihan: Episode 81 features an interview with Andy Houlihan of Fox Soccer Channel and formerly at Sky Sports, BBC, Talk Sport and other sport media networks. The co-host of Super Sunday + and Fox Soccer Match Day discusses his interview with George Best, rekindles memories of what the rituals were like going to a football match in the late 70s and early 80s, and shares his insight into whether the British media are biased or not. In addition to the interview, The Gaffer analyzes the past weekend of football and shares his thoughts on the Champions League draw.

Ray Hudson: In episode three, EPL Talk interviews soccer legend Ray Hudson. Ray played for Newcastle United and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the 1970s. During the last decade, he’s been the manager of DC United and the Miami Fusion, while more recently he’s been a color commentator for GolTV and co-host of GolTV’s “American Soccer” TV program. Always fascinating to listen to, Ray discusses the differences between playing in England in the 1970s versus today’s Premiership, plus his preference between watching the EPL and La Liga, and much more.

Mike Ingham: In episode 72, the feature guest is Mike Ingham, the famous BBC football commentator who has commentated on England around the world, and some of the biggest matches in the game of soccer. During this rare interview, Ingham discusses his memories of working with legends Peter Jones and Bryon Butler and shares his memories of the first football match he commentated on. Ingham also discusses candidly his thoughts on the plight of the England national team, how England would have been different under Brian Clough, Ingham’s favorite football grounds to commentate from, his stint as a Radio 1 disc jockey and much more.

Simon Inglis: In episode 26, famed author Simon Inglis tells us the story of Charles Buchan and the publishing of the influential magazine entitled Charles Buchan’s Football Monthly, which was popular between the 1950s and 1970s and is the subject of his upcoming book due in October 2006. Inglis also discusses the comparisons between football in that time period compared to today. As one of the world’s most renowned experts on football grounds, Inglis discusses the current state of football stadia and gives his verdict on Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium. Inglis then recommends what old-fashioned Premiership stadiums are a must-see in England. As a massive Aston Villa fan, Inglis shares his first memories of Villa Park, his thoughts on Villa’s famous old Trinity Road Stand and what he thinks of Randy Lerner and Martin O’Neill. Andrew Jennings: Episode 69 features an interview with investigative reporter Andrew Jennings, who has blown the cover off the FIFA corruption scandals and tells us about all of the dirty deeds that FIFA is committing in the name of football.
