Frank Lampard Agrees One-Year Deal to Remain at Chelsea: The Nightly EPL
On the eve of captaining Chelsea in a major European final, Frank Lampard is understood to have agreed a one-year deal to remain at Stamford Bridge until the end of the 2013-14 season.
The news will be music to the ears of Chelsea supporters and neutral fans who admire the work ethic and professionalism that Lampard displays. While he isn’t expected to be starting every game next season with so much depth at the club, Lampard is understood to have agreed a financial pay cut to stay at the club instead of taking up an offer to join Major League Soccer.
Lampard will captain Chelsea in Amsterdam tomorrow against Benfica in the Europa League Final (which, for US viewers, will be televised live on FOX Soccer).

Basically he thinks staying in the UK will help in making the 2014 World Cup team. Which it won’t.
I’m glad he is staying with Chelsea another maybe he will be able to join NYCFC because even though he is my favorite player I wont root for the Galaxy just because he is on them.
Glad to see this got done. Obviously Lampard still has a lot to offer and deserves at least another year with Chelsea.
Poor move. He should head to Galaxy and fullfill new career aspirations. He has done all that can be done with Blues.
He can improve his chances of continuing to play for England by playing in the Premier League instead of in the MLS.

Hey, Gaff!
Quick unrelated question: For this Sunday’s fixtures it says that the Man City game is on “foxscoccer(dot)com…
Just never seen that viewing option before…
So, to confirm, the MC v. Nor game will *only* be on their website, and not FS2G or the FS (or FS+) channel(s), correct?
Thanks, amigo!
The game will only be on FOXSoccer.com and FOXSoccer2Go.com
Cheers,
