Can You Flick It? A Subbuteo Story [VIDEO]

Spain doesn’t just rule the world in soccer, but they’re also champions in Subbuteo, the table soccer game that has long been a tradition in England and around the world.

In this 30 minute documentary entitled “Can You Flick It? A Subbuteo Story,” there’s plenty of fascinating video to watch including armed police coming in to break up a fight at a Subbuteo tournament, as well as some of the history of this fabled game.

It’s a perfect video to watch on an international break.

Cool clip. Never heard of this game before. Speaking of games, stay away from the new FIFA 13. My PS3 froze 3 times last night, had to reset the whole system and it erased all unsaved memory – including me winning my first league in world class mode. Not a happy camper with EA.

I bought a set for my kids last Xmas. (ordered a set from http://www.tablesoccerusa.com that came with hand painted Tottenham and Arsenal players) I won’t go so far to say it is my kids favorite toy or that it can compete with the XBox, but they do occasionally pull it out to play (which is more than I can say about 75% of their toys/games. Strangely, it is also the first game to come out when they have friends over.

Yea, I had been wanting this game for awhile and was lucky enough to get a set from some friends. My daughter and I play every Sunday afternoon now. I even purchased a couple blank teams to customize from the same website that Rob mentioned. It an AWESOME game!!!
