“Playing For Keeps”: Trailer For New Soccer Themed Movie Coming This Holiday Season [VIDEO]

It’s not often that a movie has a plot that involves soccer, especially when it’s a romance film. But “Playing For Keeps,” starring Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Dennis Quaid, does. Not only that but the main star of the film played by Butler gets a shot in the movie at becoming a soccer pundit for ESPN.

In the film, Butler’s character played for Celtic before coming to the States where he ended up coaching a local kids soccer team. It looks like one of those films that’s loosely based on soccer that won’t satisfy the hardcore fans. But it could be a film worth going to see with your spouse or loved one.
