Some soccer fans may argue that Wigan Athletic doesn’t need three kits for their 2012-13 football season, but who are we to argue? After releasing their new home and away kits for next season, the Latics have now unveiled their third shirt — a strikingly bright red top.
Designed by Mi-Fit, Wigan’s third shirt is certainly different than their blue and white home one, as well as their black away one. I can’t think of too many instances where their black away shirt will clash with home colors of a Premier League side, but if it does — or if they face someone in one of the cup competitions, maybe they’ll bring out the red one instead?
It’s clean, attractive and simple. Unfortunately, it’s forgettable, but I’m sure it’ll find a place in many closets of Wigan Athletic supporters.

I’m fine with it. Reminds me of Fulham’s red kit a couple seasons ago.

I like this better than their away kit as an away kit. With the monochromatic crest the thing kind of looks like a skull on the black shirt. Although for some this would be a feature and not a bug.
I like the simplicity of it.
