Here we go. The final day of the second round of matches in the group stages of Euro 2012. Kicking off the first game is Ukraine against France. After Ukraine’s win against Sweden, and France’s unimpressive draw against England, it’ll be fascinating to see who comes out on top in this game. Ukraine will be backed by their home support. France will be urged on by their silky-smooth footballers.

In the French team news, Patrice Evra has been dropped. Samir Nasri will return to a number 10 role, with France to play a 4-2-3-1 formation.

This is a bit of a downer, I was hoping to keep myself calm by watching the France – Ukraine game. Now I’m getting nervous
According to Rebecca Lowe, if Ukraine-France is postponed, the match has to be played tomorrow instead.
Speaking of Ukraine-France, the match got off to a great start, I thought. If the game is played this afternoon/evening, I wonder if that’ll help France because the atmosphere in the stadium from the Ukraine fans may be far less if/when the game restarts.

Will they delay the England game if they start this up again? If so, what channel wil the England game be on?

Good question. If Ukraine-France restarts at 1pm ET, it should end at 2:35pm ET, just 10 minutes before England vs Sweden kicks off on ESPN, so we should be OK.

This pitch is playing extremely slow.
They have delayed the England game by 15 mins
this is not the result England would want now their are two teams with more points then they have. If they don’t win today the last game against Ukraine will be edgy to say the least.
