the panel on espn was much much much better this morning. Knowledgeable, comfortable, never heard of anyone accept keller another american spurs goalkeeper, but still, a much better panel.
C’mon Greece!
today is upset Tuesday
Czech’s over the Greeks and the Poles over the Russians
Lets hope the pols beat the russians, it would be good to see a host nation make it out of the group.
For the Polish people, a victory over the Russians would mean a lot, remember Katyn… there is so much hate between the Poles and the Russians, Polish people hate more the Russians than the Germans.
wow what a goal, great strike!
that was just what these games need, an early goal to make the other team chase the game, poor defending from greece.
holy smokes! great play from the czech’s really great football and a 2nd in the first 10 mins!
Is ESPN just giving different studio leads a run out every day of the coverage?
this panel is more substance than sizzle today, thank goodness.
Who’s on the panel – besides Kasey Keller? I’m only able to listen to the coverage.
sorry, no idea who they are
Max Bretos, Taylor Twellman, Fernando Palomo and Kasey Keller.
Cheers,
The Gaffer
Good grief…every time a czech or Greece player falls on the pitch they roll around like they’ve lost an arm or leg. After they don’t get a call, they pop right up. Seems to be the worst game of diving if seen in the tournment thus far.
One down and one to go for upset Tuesday lets go Poles.
I am really bummed that Rosicky’s injury appears serious. Watching the Czechs with and without him was like night and day. They didn’t seem to have any ideas at all when they got the ball in the second half. A couple of overlaps down the left but beside that players got the ball at their feet and just ran until it was taken away from them. With the balance organization a player like Rosicky provides I think the second half would have been a calm affair and they would have preserved the 2-0 lead. It is too early to tell but it looks like he will miss the game against Poland in which case we can almost pencil in Russia and Poland in the knockout round.
