Which Premier League Club Has the Most Players on the England Squad?
Last month England finished top of their qualifying group for Euro 2012 and now face Spain this Saturday (November 12), then Sweden next Tuesday (November 15) at Wembley Stadium.
Fabio Capello gives Daniel Sturridge and Jack Rodwell a chance to shine in front of a full house at Wembley. Manchester City have the most players selected in the 25 man squad with five players, and Chelsea close behind with four but draws a concern that Theo Walcott is the only Arsenal player selected.

In fairness to Arsenal, it would be 2 if Jack Wilshere was healthy at this moment.
Three if Gibbs was healthy. Not to mention that Oxlade-Chamberlain will probably be in the squad in the summer.
and if Jenkinson continues his development you would think he may get an Olympic team spot…
lol I thought Man City were ruining English football?
I don’t think you can judge where players are coming from given this squad.
Players missing
Rooney
Young
Smalling
Wilshere
Gerrard
Ferdinand
This would give a different view, especially where Man Utd is concerned
This would
My point is that these are most of our upcoming players and the focus is on which clubs they are coming from.
Man City should have six too, but for some reason Capello always leaves out Micah Richards.
Has anyone yet realized his predictions for the Spain match? A tie would be an amazing result for the Three Lions, considering they are trying to discover the striking core for EURO 2012.
You could have also mentioned that while 10 top flight teams are represented in the England squad, none are from the team sitting third in table, Newcastle.
Interesting since Fergie is obviously trying to build an english Man Utd team with the players he has been bringing through.
Smalling, Young, and Rooney are HUGE omissions. Also you can’t forget Cleverley. All 4 would be on the England world cup roster I believe, probably with a couple others i am forgetting or haven’t emerged yet.
england-spain 1-1 get a life
Not a bad prediction in the end then for England.
