QPR vs Manchester City, 1978-79: Friday Flashback Videos
In this week’s installment of Friday Flashback Videos, we take you back to the 1978-79 season in England as Queens Park Rangers (QPR) take on Manchester City at a much different looking Loftus Road in London.
The match, played on December 16 (hence how dark the skies look), featured a long cast of footballing heroes such as:
QPR: Stan Bowles, Phil Parkes and Billy Hamilton (who would go on to manage Northern Ireland).
Manchester City: Peter Barnes, Paul Power, Mike Channon and Asa Hartford.
On top of all of that, you have the lovely commentary of Brian Moore, as well as a few beautiful goals. Who could ask for anything more?
