Fox Soccer Channel HD Coming to Verizon FiOS in April

The long wait for Verizon FiOS customers to get Fox Soccer Channel HD appears to be almost finally over. ”For all of the soccer fans out there, Fox Soccer Channel HD is coming in April,” said Heather Wilner, manager of media relations for Verizon FiOS, on its corporate blog.
Interestingly when Verizon FiOS’s director of product management was quizzed about the mention, he responded on Twitter by saying “You’ll have to ask @heatherwilner- those r her words – I’m not touching this topic w/ a 10 ft pole.” So much for everyone at the company being on the same page.
Nevertheless, Wilner confirmed the news on her Twitter account and said that she will keep everyone posted on official launch dates.
With the forthcoming availability of Fox Soccer Channel HD on Verizon FiOS, Comcast Cable remains one of the last nationwide TV providers who still does not offer Fox Soccer Channel HD to its customers nationwide. As a FiOS user, I’m excited, but won’t believe it till I see it. They have pushed back this launch for almost a year. Saying it is coming over and over… Then in January pushed BET in front of FSC. Then they recently added Tru for the NCAA. and it being April and all… maybe we’ll get it before the season is over.
Still no att uverse??? Driving me insane watching these matches in HD
Hi
Just spoke to Verizon. A very helpfull rep told me to expect Fox Soccer HD on channel 584 being switched on in defferent areas on the 11th thru the 14th. At Last!!!!!!
2011?
Channel 584 up and running on FiOS in Harrisburg/Lancaster, PA.
Also does this mean I should get a Sylvania set now?
Genius!
Would love it to happen today for the Champions League matches. ugh. crossing my fingers.
That poor guy on Twitter has been hammered all year and then this lady steals his thunder with the confirmation…
That’s funny!! The FIOSTV twitter guy definitely sounds like a broken man when discussing FSC HD.
And this is why I am going to piss off my landlord and get Dish next fall.
COMCAST YOU ARE A FAILURE!
FINALLY!!!.I just got carpet burn from sliding on my knees when I saw this news….It pains me to see Brighthouse networks in my area to offer FSC HD and FSC+ for 5 bucks and I’m paying 14.99(for the love of the game) and not getting coverage in HD…. this def would be a great gift for the season ending.
@celticmad67, crossing my fingers that the reps info is true!!!…
they said FSC HD is coming not FSP HD…
Any word on FSC+ being in HD or shall I stick to Foxsoccer.tv?
god i hope this is true i want to see football in hd all the time not 1 or 2 times a week but like trickybrkn said i wont believe it till I see it.
Time Warner Cable still does not offer Fox Soccer Channel in HD
We get the channel in SD even though the logo says HD
someone needs to turn on the HD already
Yeah we do, at least in Milwaukee we do…
The 800 pound gorilla is still comcast. Comcast Sucks!
Thank you!!!! I got so sick of seeing the “HD” tag on the top right of the screen.
Just saw this posted today on the Director of Product Mgmt’s twitter feed.

“Fox Soccer Channel HD turned on for some FiOS TV customers (ch 584)- available over the next few days for most of you – http://bit.ly/gT25QY“
“For most of you”? What could that mean?
Channel 584 is now live in North Texas fios
It is live in VA as of this morning.
roger that. in newport news va today.
copy that too with joy. I checked it on 04/11 but saw nothing and now. Not sure if it is permanent or just kind of pilot.
Not a pilot. Permanent.
Channel 584 is now live in Baltimore Maryland
No FSCHD on Fios in metro NYC.
live in philly/metro area channel 584.
Channel 584 turned on last night in Boston-area.
Finally its on in Manhattan – channel 584. Looks stunning compared to standard def, which was like watching TV through Coke bottles.
It’s great that Fios came out with another HD channel. Subscribing and working for DISH Network I have had The Fox Soccer Channel for awhile now. I prefer DISH Network as my provider, because with them I get the most HD in the industry. They carry so many channels in HD, and if you qualify you can get HD free for life. I don’t have to pay any additional charge for my HD channels. I think it’s great they are coming out with more and more channels, and hopefully they can keep on doing that.
In Seattle they sold off Fios to Frontier. Anyone know if we’ll pick it up on Frontier Fios, or if we get the short end of the stick?
