Michel Platini Is Useless And Sepp Blatter Should Be Sacked Says Ian Holloway
Trust Blackpool manager Ian Holloway to call it like it is.
In a press conference Friday, Holloway discussed the topic of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and had some very strong words to say against FIFA, Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini for their “brilliant” idea of considering that the 2022 World Cup should be moved to the winter of 2022. Holloway also questioned the ridiculous idea of the indoor air-conditioned arenas that the Qatar Bid Committee had cooked up.
Watch the above video for an honest opinion from one of the shining lights in the Premier League this season.

He found a way to slap FIFA, UEFA, and Blackburn all in the same answer to a question. A+ Mr. Holloway. I really don’t know how anyone could hate this guy. If he were ever sacked, Fox Soccer Channel should use him to replace Warren Boring.
Spot on, Mr. Holloway.
I now found the man to replace Fergie when he retires. Brilliant.
Another aspect that I just realized reading down the blog is that Holloway was linked to Blackburn. I guess if anyone thought he was bluffing by saying he wasn’t going there, he pretty much flew the finger at Venky’s in this presser.
please keep all the ian holloway lines coming.-lmao
Well said Mr Holloway.
“Fox Soccer Channel should use him to replace Warren Boring”
Well said Earl.Barton is absolutely awful.
Ian Holloway is awesome, tells it like it is,love it!
What breath of fresh air. Special 1–Live!
Well said . I couldn’t agree more with what you said. Everyone knows that Blatter and Platini need to go, just glad to see someone have the guts to say it. Now it’s time for other managers to let their feelings be known that we won’t all bow down to the two idiots.
alot of man love for Ian Holloway
So you like this guy because he says what you want to hear?
No, Andrei, we like him because he says what everyone else is thinking, but won’t say out loud. He does not obfuscate.
Well I’m not so sure about who those “everyone else” are and what they really think. Unless you possess some psychic abilities… As for Ian Holloway remarks to me sounds more like a populist stuff. There is quite a bit of negative sentiment and wounded pride in certain quarters and imo he is just trying to exploit it.
Sorry for my own obfuscation. “everyone else” as in other managers/administrators/owners who always seem to wrap their statements in mind numbing gobbledygook.
Holloway is not everyone’s cup of tea, but take him or leave him you are pretty sure to get a straight up response of what is on his mind if you ask him a question. I find that refreshing, whether I agree with him or not.
You say, “There is quite a bit of negative sentiment and wounded pride in certain quarters and imo he is just trying to exploit it.” Now who’s being psychic?
I know, I know, the Central Committee wouldn’t approve of this kind of talk. It really makes people think with their common sense, which upsets the power structure of the Politburo led by Sepp Blatterechev.
Magnificent. Just magnificent.
That clip just made my Saturday.
hahaha funny stuff. I like how he brings blackburn into it.
He takes a swipe at everything that’s wrong about football. Blatter, Platini and bad owners.
