Wrexham vs Arsenal, 1991-92 FA Cup: Friday Flashback Videos
For this week’s installment of Friday Flashback Videos, we head back to 1992 when Arsenal went to North Wales to play Wrexham in the FA Cup at the Racecourse Ground.
At the time, Arsenal were second in the top flight of English football while Wrexham were 24th in the Fourth Division, which is the today’s equivalent of League Two. This was a formidable Arsenal side with players such as Ian Wright, Alan Smith, David Seaman, Paul Merson, Tony Adams, Ray Parlour and others.
I won’t give the secret away to how the game evolved just in case there are some readers who don’t know the score. But take into consideration that Arsenal won the FA Cup and League Cup double in 1993.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for future Friday Flashback Videos, please post them in the comments section below.

Er ,Wrexham were in the fourth division at the time.
Good catch Badger. The BBC News article I checked to find out where Wrexham sat at that time had the incorrect information (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/1591567.stm ). Now fixed.

Man those Arsenal kits are HIDEOUS.
That was one thing I forgot to mention in my post about the video. Those kits are horrible and a perfect example of how awful the early 90s was in terms of kit designs. What were they thinking?!

If I remember correctly, the previous season Arsenal won the 1st division and Wrexham finished bottom of the 4th division (as then was). They should have been relegated into non-league football, but the team that would have come up failed the minimum stadium standards for league football.
All this is going on memory, so feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
