Aston Villa Launch Viral Videos Starring Milner, Carew and Cuellar

When you’re a football club and you have to come up with ideas of how to promote the sale of season tickets during the summer months, what do you do?

If you’re Aston Villa, you release three very creative videos and hope that they go viral.

James Milner, Carlos Cuellar and John Carew star in three separate videos. Without a doubt, they’re well shot and are pretty well produced. I’m not so sure they’ll help sell season tickets to Villa Park, but if the club’s object is to get people talking about the topic, it’s working.

What do you think of the videos? Share your feedback in the comments section below.

I think it’s a great idea. The club needs an edge and as a Villa fan, I love it. When you aren’t the richest club in the world and you don’t have media on your doorstep 24/7, you need to be original.

  2. Patrick says:

More clubs should do this… Baseball in the states has been doing things like this for decades, and its always buzz worthy.

  3. This One Guy in Detroit says:

Funny stuff. But someday these sorts of fake “viral videos” are going to seem as dated as the wacky freeze-frames at the end of an early-’80s sitcom.

  4. Eious says:

Good video but it has been done before by others so it really isn’t THAT great

  5. kurt says:

good job Carew was ther to help, maintenance leaves at 4pm (if your lucky)
