Manchester United Players Have Fun With Smithy: Sport Relief Video

Manchester United players such as Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney star in a new comedy video to raise money for the Sport Relief charity in Britain.

The new video (see excerpt above) features Smithy (the Gavin & Stacey character played by James Corden) leading the players in a workout routine (Richard Simmons, watch out). Rio Ferdinand gets a couple of words of encouragement from Smithy before Rooney and Smithy get face-to-face in a laughable sing-song.

The full clip from the video will be shown on BBC on March 19.

    Absolutey Brilliant!

Fantastic to see Smithy. I’m a huge fan of the show Gavin and Stacey, only wish the BBC would release S2 in the states. No one on Manchester United can really dance though,…

Nice to see Rio “keeping fit”
