Portsmouth Home Jersey 09/10 Season

Portsmouth FC have released an image of their new hone shirt for the 2009/2010 season.

The new home jersey for Portsmouth is designed and manufactured by Canterbury, the New Zealand company, and is sponsored by Jobsite. Canterbury Europe went into administration recently but the new kits for Portsmouth were already created, so it appears very likely that Pompey will be wearing Canterbury kits this season and will have new kits from a different kit manufacturer next season.

Portsmouth’s new football jersey for the 2009/2010 season is blue with dark blue and white trim. The design is actually quite plain, but I like it. Simple and traditional and not overdone.

This is actually the opposite of the designs leaked a few weeks ago, which were dark blue with light blue and white trim. I think I prefer the darker blue, but Pompey and their fans have more things to fret over just now than the colour of their shirts!

  2. I am glad that we are back in Blue, white & red.

Well lets hope they wont need the Jobsite at the end of the
    season, Cmon Play up Pompey…………
Are they going to be playing in their Red socks again, which should
never have been dropped, it was Pompey’s trade mark…
I quite like the new shirt by the way.

Blue shirts, white pants, red socks, and not the Boston kind. Exactly what we should wear. I love the simple design. Canterbury Europe going under shouldn’t be that much of a problem. Canterbury NZ, the parent company, will do what they need to do to help the clubs affected.

When and where can I buy this home kit? I know the away one has been released on their website.

    Not sure about this kit
