The Damned United Coming To U.S. Movie Theaters

Well, I didn’t think it would happen, but thankfully it has. Sony Pictures has decided to bring The Damned United to U.S. movie screens.

The adaptation of the controversial novel by author David Peace about the 44 day period that Brian Clough spent as manager of Leeds United will be released this Fall. September 25, 2009, to be exact.

The movie will be launched with a limited release in select cities. The September 25 date coincides with the date of the opening of the New York Film Festival. So if you’re a betting man, the odds are very favorable for the movie to make its U.S. premiere at one of the top film festivals in the United States.
