England Footballers Star In Gavin and Stacey Sketch
Gavin & Stacey TV star James Corden has taped a hilarious sketch with the England football team to raise money for the British version of Comic Relief.
Featured in the video are David Beckham, Peter Crouch, David James, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Michael Carrick, Shawn Wright-Philips, Ashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand.
The story line is that James Corden’s character Smithy, a plumber, stops by a hotel to work on a job. When he has to visit the men’s room, he walks around the hotel looking for a toilet and then just happens to walk into a room where the England team are having a meeting. Smithy, a West Ham United fan, then tries his best to pump up the lads and shares his disappointment of England not qualifying for Euro 2008. Hilarity ensues.
This is just one of the sketches to appear on Comic Relief – Funny for Money this Friday on BBC One and Two from 7pm.
