Everton Adds US Tour To Preseason Schedule

everton crest Everton Adds US Tour To Preseason ScheduleEverton will be playing two friendlies in the United States this summer. According to ToffeeWeb, the club is rumored to be playing against Chicago Fire on July 30th and Colorado Rapids on August 3rd.

Last July, Everton played a friendly against Real Salt Lake and trained at the Home Depot Center outside Los Angeles, California.

This summer’s tour to the United States will be Everton’s fourth visit in five years.

Everton is one of two Premier League clubs touring North America this summer. Yesterday, West Ham United announced they have arranged a friendly against Columbus Crew this July as well as being scheduled to play against the MLS All-Star Team in Toronto, also in July.

The only other Premier League team that is rumored to be touring the United States this summer that hasn’t announced dates yet is Liverpool FC.

Editor’s note: After this article was published, Everton confirmed the news on their web site — so we now know that both fixtures against MLS sides are certain.

Well I do not plan on missing this one. I’ve already sent a personal invite to TT, but if you make the game the famous Chicago pizza is on me.

Also, the weather in Chicago at the end of July is hot, so come prepared! Hope to see you all.

Barca’s games are being marketed by MLS and amount to little more than a cash grab.

These games with Everton are more legit and as we all know the Toffees like to come to the US for training purposes not just to make money, which is why Moyes keeps sending his team here when the club could make more money in Asia.
