Chelsea's Win at Everton Keeps Slim Premier League Title Chances Alive

chelsea logo Chelsea's Win at Everton Keeps Slim Premier League Title Chances AliveSky Sports must be rubbing their hands with glee. With Thursday night’s important 1-0 win by Chelsea over Everton at Goodison Park, this ensures that there’ll still be plenty to play for when Chelsea battles Man United on April 26.

Chelsea currently sits just two points behind Man United, although the Old Trafford club has one game in hand. If Man United beats Blackburn on Saturday, the Red Devils can win the title if they beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

But even if United beats Blackburn — and Chelsea defeats Man United, the Red Devils will still have another chance to lift a trophy if they get a minimum of four points out of their last two matches (against West Ham at home, and Wigan away on the last day of the season).

I can see Man United slipping up once, but twice is out of the question. Put the champagne on ice Man U fans.

I’ve got a few “working man’s champagne” (read: beer) chillin in the fridge. It looks promising but Chelsea are still in it. That Stamford Bridge match will be the decider for sure. A win over Chelsea at the Bridge would be sweet, sweet revenge for the 2005-06 season when Chelsea clinched by dumping United 3-0 and breaking Rooney’s foot.

I’m hoping United can also win the Champions League as well. Maybe Tevez can play the role of the new Solskjaer while Rooney can re-enact the Teddy Sheringham role. :)

If United beat Blackburn the league ends there and then, thats united’s only other tough fixture. West Ham at home will be easy.
